McLouth Happenings

By Beverly Muzzy - | Oct 22, 2013

Join in the fun with the “Threshers Lair Haunted Hayride” at the McLouth Threshing Bee Grounds from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Coast is $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 and under.

• First Baptist Church of McLouth will hold a “fun fall festival for families” with a Pumpkin Party from 4-6 p.m. Sunday in the church parking lot. We’ll have carnival games, face painting, a cake walk, treats, prizes, a costume contest and a pumpkin contest (carved, decorated or painted). Fun for all ages. This is an outreach project of our FBC Student Ministries (high school and middle school). Hope you’ll join us!

• Enjoy McLouth Elementary School’s costume parade at approximately 2 p.m. Oct. 31 in downtown McLouth (weather permitting).

• McLouth United Methodist Church will host its 10th annual “Trunk or Treat” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31 in the high school parking lot. Everyone in the community is welcome to decorate the trunks of their cars and distribute candy to the gremlins and goblins that come by. Kids of all ages are welcome to participate in pumpkin carving and pumpkin decorating, plus lots of other activities. This is a great opportunity for families who live in the country to participate in the festivities, and it will provide a safe environment for everyone.

• Residents who choose not to be disturbed by Trick-or-Treaters often leave their porch lights turned off. As a courtesy, please respect their preference by only going to houses that have porch lights on.
