Residents can drop off those items at the Tonganoxie Fire Station, 825 E. Fourth St. They just need to check in at the station and give their name and address to ensure they are Tonganoxie residents.

Tonganoxie City Administrator Nathan McCommon said damage mostly was limited to tree limbs and the like. The weather caused a fallen tree in front of the former Bichelmeyer’s Steakhouse in downtown Tonganoxie, but city crews have removed it. Residents also were without power for varying amounts of time.

The fire station will be accepting limbs through the weekend.
