• Bitler’s Cozy Cafe and BBQ will officially open Monday in McLouth. Initial hours will be 6 a.m.-2 p.m. The restaurant is at Kansas highways 16 and 92 north of the BP gas station.

• Back to school night for McLouth USD 342 will be 5 p.m. Tuesday in McLouth. The school year begins the next day, Wednesday, Aug. 20.

• Beginning Band Night will be 6 p.m. Aug. 26 at McLouth schools.

• McLouth teams will be featured with the district’s annual fall preview Aug. 29. Festivities start with middle school volleyball at 5 p.m. High school volleyball and middle school football start at 6 p.m. and high school cross country and football will be featured at 7 p.m.
