The Courtneys came to Leavenworth County more than 150 years ago, settling in the Springdale area in the 1850s.

Their 11 children have many descendants still living in the area. The family will gather at 12:30 p.m. in the McLouth Community Building, which is behind the public library at 215 S Union St. in downtown McLouth.
