Tonganoxie library mini tree deadline extended

By Shawn Linenberger - | Nov 24, 2014

The Tonganoxie Public Library is extending the deadline for its miniature Christmas tree auction.

Trees now will be accepted through Dec. 6.

The library currently has eight trees on display. First State Bank and Trust, USD 464 Volunteer Center, Denise Bixby, Andy and Jami Burke, Boy Scout Troop 357, City of Angels Thrift Store, Prairie du Kanza and Susie and Larry Ross all have donated miniature trees for the event.

Trees can be decorated in various themes.

They will be displayed on top of bookshelves throughout the library. The trees will be sold by silent auction and the proceeds will be used to purchase additional materials for the library.
