• Rev. Rob Santel and Rebecca spent the holiday weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks. Taking the pulpit Aug. 31 at Springdale Friends was the Rev. Danelle White of Olathe.

• Rev. Lyle Whiteman and Peggy and their family of Gate, Okla., visited Aug. 31 at the Springdale Friends Church. Lyle Whiteman was pastor from 1969-72. He performed his first wedding while here for Ed and Peggy Gillapsie. Such great memories.

• The David and Jennifer Roggenkamp family of St. Marys visited Labor Day weekend at the Johnny Schwinn home. Jennifer celebrated her 30th birthday Aug. 31. She also played on a softball team in a weekend tournament while here.

• Brian and Linda Kay Schwinn visited with Evelyn Schwinn on Aug. 31.

• Little Kenlee Wolfe, daughter of Dean and Becky, turned 5 on Wednesday, Sept. 3. She is a preschooler in McLouth. She shares a birthday with her uncle, Mike Clark, who turned 39 this year.
