A dedication ceremony will start at 10 a.m. at the new school, which is southeast of Tonganoxie Middle School off Washington Street.

There will be a scavenger hunt tour, maps for self-guided tours and refreshments.

The Tonganoxie Recreation Commission and American Legion Post 41 will sponsor a movie night that evening on the school grounds. Families can return to the school that evening to watch the original “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” movie.
