Initial Tonganoxie enrollment numbers show an increase at TES, TMS for new school year
The Tonganoxie school district’s preliminary numbers show an increase in enrollment of more than 30 students.
Tonganoxie Assistant Superintendent Tonya Phillips reported at Monday’s USD 464 school board meeting that initial numbers show increases of 24 students at the elementary school (K-5) and 10 at the middle school (6-8). The high school (9-12) currently is down by one student compared to the official 2023-24 numbers.
Enrollment on Sept. 20 will be the district’s official number, as that is the date the state has selected each year for gathering enrollment data. The district has until the middle of October to submit all of its data, Phillips said. That data then determines how much state aid Tonganoxie will receive per pupil. Phillips will have official numbers next month.
