Tonganoxie City Council Chambers are moving to the former public library at Third and Bury streets. In-person meetings also available for viewing on a city YouTube Channel could start with the Jan. 19 regular meeting.

Tonganoxie USD 464 school board and Tonganoxie City Council were scheduled to have meetings Tuesday night, but there is another change.

The school board originally was to meet on Jan. 8, but inclement weather forced postponement.

The meeting still was set to take place as of The Mirror’s Tuesday afternoon print deadline.

There was no school Tuesday due to the continued frigid temperatures, but the Tonganoxie Invitational, which started at 3 p.m. Tuesday, and the 6 p.m. school board meeting still were planned.

Tonganoxie City Council was to meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers at Third and Bury streets, but that meeting now will be next Monday. The City Council normally meets the first and third Monday of each month, but this month met on the first Tuesday due to New Year’s Day falling on Monday. The council was going to meet Tuesday due to Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, but the meeting again was rescheduled Tuesday morning and now will be 7 p.m. this coming Monday in council chambers.
