Jess Barnett will present another “Make A Joyful Noise” benefit concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at Jarbalo United Methodist Church. The Barnett sisters will join him for a selection. Refreshments will be served in Fellowship Hall after the concert.
Rosie Oelschlaeger hosted a combined birthday party to celebrate Orville’s 83rd birthday and Thanksgiving on Nov. 24 at Cracker Barrel in Olathe. Those celebrating were Gary and Linda Blanton of Highland; John and Janice Oelschlaeger, Erin and Amy, Valorie Blanton, BJ Oelschlaeger and Joni Roark, all of Lawrence; Brandi and Kendall Duke, Rachel Oelschlaeger and Zach Ross, all of Overland Park; Mark and Sara Oelschlaeger of Wellsville.
Thanksgiving dinner guests of Rosie and Orville Oelschlaeger were John and Janice Oelschlaeger and Amy of Lawrence and Helen McBroom of Tonganoxie. Erin Oelschlaeger visited later in the day.
Frances Jeannin went to the home of Pat and Michele Jeannin of Basehor for Thanksgiving dinner. She then went to the home of Phil and Pam Jeannin of Tonganoxie.
The Barnett family Thanksgiving dinner took place at Jarbalo United Methodist Church. There were 31 people in attendance. Chief petty officer Derek Barnett of Afghanistan called to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. Luci of Overland Park called earlier with the same greeting.
