Danny and Linda R. Schwinn hosted their annual Fourth of July celebration at their home. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended. There was a potluck dinner, visiting and fireworks for the kids.
Most of the Schwinn families of the Springdale area traveled Sunday to St. George to celebrate the 75th birthday of Myron Schwinn. He grew up in the Springdale area, the youngest of John and Ruth Schwinn. He taught school for many years. Everyone enjoyed the visiting and a potluck dinner, where they wished him many more years. He has a wife, Jody, a son, Scott, and two grandchildren, Morgan and Garrett.
Marie Gillaspie and niece, Isabella, celebrated their birthdays on July 12. Happy birthday, girls.
Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended the Fourth of July fireworks at McLouth. It was an enjoyable evening.
John and Cara Kruid and children went to Minnesota, to visit some relatives. They came home and shot off their fireworks in Springdale. Cara’s folks and others were present.
On the afternoon of July 5, two young girls had the misfortune of a tire blowout in Springdale while on their way back to Leavenworth. The blowout caused the car to roll over and come to a rest on its top in the Knapps’ yard. The girls climbed out the broken window, but didn’t get cut on the glass. They seemed to be OK, except for the shock of what they’d been through.
