MHS schools having sock drive for local churches

By Shawn Linenberger - | Oct 21, 2015

Temperatures already are dipping as the fall months are here and wintertime just around the corner.

Students and staff at McLouth USD 342 would like to ensure that everyone has warm feet as they approach the cold weather months ahead.

With this in mind, the McLouth Elementary and High School Student Council Clubs will be sponsoring a schoolwide sock drive with a goal to try to collect 100 pairs of socks.

Any pairs collected will be donated to the local churches in the McLouth community. Organizers graciously ask that you only donate new socks. Please, no used socks. Any and all sizes would be appreciated.

Schools will be collecting socks throughout the month of October.

People may drop off donations in the boxes marked “SOCK DROP” in either the elementary or secondary school entrances.
