Holiday hours

Tonganoxie Public Library will be closed this Friday in observance of the Independence Day holiday but will resume normal hours of operation for the rest of the weekend.

Slip n’ Slide night for youths rescheduled for Thursday

Our Slip n’ Slide night was originally scheduled for last week, but a torrential downpour has moved it to this Thursday evening.

Youths of all ages can take turns on a variety of slip n’ slides starting at 5 p.m. outside the library.

Which one of the epic slides will be their favorite? No registration is required. Kids should just come dressed to get wet!

Travel London at the library next week

Freelance writer and traveler, Lauren Keith, knows the very best bits of London and beyond after living in the city for 10 years.

The Churchill Museum, Highgate Cemetery, the Kyoto Gardens or even Floatworks, a floatation centre, are just a few of the experiences to be had! Keith will share the city she loves with all of us at 6:30 p.m. next Tuesday, July 8.

Pickling food demo program coming up next week

Our next installment of K-State Research and Extension’s Knowledge at Noon food demo program will be at noon Tuesday, July 8.

July is National Pickle Month! Come celebrate with us and learn more about the pickling process. There will be pickle inspired recipes and tastings! In addition to the demo and food sampling, all participants will take home a packet of recipes to try. No registration is required to attend.
