Tonganoxie Public Library, 217 E. Fourth St.The Gold Rush program happening Wednesday
Hundreds of thousands of people migrated to the West in search of gold.
The Gold Rush was so large-scale and impactful that many historians consider it to be one of the most significant events for us in the 1800s. Come learn about the history of prospecting gold and its evolution from members of the Pony Express Prospectors Association at 6:30 p.m. today. You can even see how prospecting works now through a gold panning demonstration.
