Tonganoxie group against data center airs concerns
A crowd of roughly 150 attended Sunday’s kickoff meeting for the Tonganoxie Citizens Against Bluestem group. The organization recently formed amid the potential for a 500-acre plus mega data center south of Tonganoxie. Bluestem is the company working to secure space for a future center. Leavenworth County Commissioner Mike Stieben, Sierra Club representative and rural Tonganoxie resident Zach Pistora and former state representative Jim Karleskint were among speakers at Tonganoxie VFW Post Home.
