Tonganoxie VFW honors fallen with traveling Vietnam wall
The trailer carrying the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall rolled Thursday into Tonganoxie with a police escort from Basehor. Tonganoxie High School political science students helped Tonganoxie VFW members that day in assembling the memorial at VFW Park. There also were memorials for the Iraq wars and 9-11. Local veterans served guard at the park around the clock from Thursday until Sunday evening.
