My wife and I spent 12 wonderful years living and working in Tonganoxie (1993-2005). During that time, I served as pastor of West Haven Baptist Church and in a number of volunteer roles (School Board, services with the VFW , Ministerial Alliance, etc.).

Mary Hedgepath has enjoyed a nice visit with her niece, Sandy Jones, from Brainerd, Minn. Sandy has been Mary’s guest since Aug. 22. Mary celebrated her 90th birthday on Nov. 6. Her grandson, Randy Kingsolver, and Sandy Jones treated Mary to a birthday lunch in White Cloud. Sandy recently returned to her home in Minnesota.

McLouth Middle School has announced its first quarter honor rolls. Students listed on the Principle’s Honor Roll earned a grade-point average of 4.0 or above; those on the Gold Honor Roll had a GPA of 3.5 to 3.99 with no grade below a C; students on the Purple Honor Roll had a GPA of 3.0 to 3.49 with no grade below a C.
